It took me some time to write this post since I have been traveling and I have not had much time. In this new post I would like to tell you about places to visit in this beautiful city. I already told you about Central Park and it took a whole post so let´s see how many more I need for everything.
I had access to pretty much all the tourist attractions in the city since I bought the Newyork Pass, which by the way I´ll also tell you what i think about it and my experience. It will not be advertising but a small review about the Pass, its prices, its advantages and disadvantages. But in these posts we will talk in general about the price of each attraction, how much it costs if you buy the ticket directly at the place.
STATUE OF LIBERTY::
The truth is that I was very excited to visit the statue of liberty, I believe it is the most universal and identifiable symbol that exists in the world, at least in the West. If you ask the question, very few wouldn’t´t associate this statue with USA or New York itself. On this first occasion, my companion and I took the New York Water Taxi, which has a few routes.
One of the most interesting options is the “All-Day Access” pass” that allows you to get on and off the ferry with the same ticket as many times as you want and at any of its stops. It is not possible to get off on the Statue of Liberty´s island but it is quite interesting as there are stops for example at the East River (Brooklyn). You may see below some pictures and I keep on with my insights… I think it is a tour that is worthwhile, if you are thinking of doing the tour you should contemplate at least 5 hours. The route lasts only 90 min of navigation but since it offers the opportunity to get off and on, you can take advantage of this and visit the stops on the way to the Statue. The ticket price per person is $ 31 USD per adult and $ 19 USD for a child. The ticket is valid from 10am to 6pm, so you have all day long if you wish.
In our case we arrived a little bit late, and it was not the best idea. We had planned the day differently, so we could not visit the stops in between, and we wish we had done it. The day we went was really windy and it is something that maybe you should also have in mind… since the only thing we worried about was that it was a sunny day. I think it is one of the tours that you should take, there are other companies that also offer similar routes. It is then for each one to see what is best for their needs.
