Hi, girls, today I bring you a new book.
“Both are the right people at the wrong time.”
Beyond What Is Given is the third book in the series Flight & Glory by author Rebecca Yarros and tells the love story of Samantha and Grayson (supporting characters in previous books).
I was eager to read this book, because Grayson, the male protagonist, caught my attention in the second book, and I had the feeling that he was hiding some secret and wow! what he concealed was quite large
Grayson is focused on graduating from the Apache helicopter course at the top of his class. While living with Josh and Jagger, he really finds himself straddling two worlds he keeps apart: his life in the military and his home life in North Carolina with his family. He is so worried about keeping his two lives apart, that he dosen’t allow anyone close, that’s until Samantha appears.
Samantha left the university in Colorado after a terrible mistake which cost her her degree. As a drop-out, finding another school it has not been easy But when her best friend Ember arranges for her to live with her boyfriend Josh and his friends, Samantha clings to the idea of starting over.
Meeting and falling in love with her’s mysterious and melancholic roommate was not in her plans, but her plans have never been fulfilled before so why start now. Grayson, despite his melancholy intensity, it’s all that a book boyfriend should be. Absolutely dedicated even when your heart is torn in multiple directions.
From the start the story begins in a way that is almost impossible not to get hooked with a light tender and very engaging start.
I have a name for stories like these, I call them creepers because they are going to catch you little by little, when you need a break you realize that you are so hooked that you can not stop reading and you need to finish it.
I would love for the author to write another book about them, as she has done with Josh and Ember, maybe when they are a little older.
Beyond What Is Given is a beautiful story, deep, sweet and with the right touch of drama.
